She emailed Keanu Reeves - and he answered! Meet the young filmmaker living her movie dreams

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Most teenagers don't get a call from the Keanu Reeves, but that's exactly what happened to Bianca Mitchell.

Mitchell is the young filmmaker behind the documentary film "Madwoman's Game." It's about a Latina chess player from New Mexico striving to become an artist in Paris.

At just 16 years old, she became inspired after watching the film "Critical Thinking," starring John Leguizamo.

Mitchell - a big fan of Reeves - managed to get a hold of the star's managers' email and sent a message. That message got forwarded to the "John Wick" star himself and he reached out!

The film will be screened at this year's Chicano Hollywood Film Festival, which is set to run from July 29 through August 2.

Director of the Chicano Hollywood Film Festival Francisco Roel and Mitchell stopped by the ABC7 studios to talk about the incredible journey and what to expect at this year's festival.
