AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- An inclusive kid's gym is focused on bringing kids together of all abilities, designed with sensory equipment for kids on the autism spectrum.

At We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym in Agoura Hills, the play equipment is fun and adventurous, but also specially designed to help kids on the spectrum.

Owner Dana Aghassi loves having a safe, welcoming place for children of all abilities to play and connect with plenty of sensory equipment.

"It warms my heart to do something different, to have an all-inclusive kid's gym where all kids can be in a room together, whether they're typical, whether they are special," Aghassi said.

They offer open play, and drop off, plus camps, birthday parties and more.

"Our motto is, 'Finally a place where you never have to say I'm sorry,'" Aghassi said.

"So where kids are screaming, kicking, yelling where they don't wanna leave, which makes me feel good. They don't want to leave. And the parent is like, 'Oh my God, I'm so sorry for the way my child is acting.' And I go, 'There's no need to say I am sorry.'"

For parents of kids with autism, it can be a lifeline.

"It's a challenging road to raising him, getting the help that he needs and finding places that are safe for him. They're in safe hands with Ms. Dana and stuff because they help them down regulate so you don't have to feel bad as a parent," said Aleksandra Cachur, of Agoura Hills.

For other parents, it's a place for their kids to be around others of all ability levels.

"I think it's really important, especially when the girls and children are so young, just to learn to accept everybody, to have patience, I just think it is wonderful," said Kaleigh Kemmerly-Wilgus of Agoura Hills.

"So it's not just a kid's gym. It's a family it's community and that just means a lot to me," said Aghassi.
