Celebration of art in downtown Ontario brings 14 new murals to the city

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- A celebration of art is taking over downtown Ontario this weekend!

The O-Town Walls MuralFest will bring 14 new murals to the city.

"If you drive down Holt Boulevard this morning or anytime between now and Saturday, you're basically going to see art everywhere," said Mia Sophia Melle. "We have 14 murals total, and they're all in a very concentrated area on Holt Boulevard between Euclid and Palm. Most of them will be completed on Saturday, but the beauty of this project is, they live on after that. So it's just not like a one-time event, although the Muralfest itself is a one-time event, the murals live in Ontario."

"So the MuralFest, the artist gets the creative freedom to paint what they want, and that's part of the deal," she said. "It's artists getting a chance to express themselves on a large scale."
