
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California is expected to see sunny and mild conditions over the next couple of days before another chance for showers arrives over the weekend.
After a couple of days in the mid-to-upper 70s for many areas, highs are expected to drop again over the weekend when an area of low pressure brings a slight chance for showers on Saturday and Sunday.
Most areas are expected to see scattered, light showers, with rain chances around 30% for Saturday and Sunday.
Los Angeles and Orange counties on Thursday will see clouds in the morning followed by sunshine in the afternoon, with a high of 75 degrees and a low of 50. Highs will drop back to the mid-to-upper 60s when rain chances move in this weekend.
The valleys and Inland Empire on Thursday can expect sunshine with a high of 78 degrees and a low of 45. Expect similar conditions on Friday before weekend showers move in.
Beaches on Thursday will see sunshine, along with a high of 69 degrees and a low of 51.
Mountain communities on Thursday can expect sunny skies and a high of 59 degrees, with a chilly overnight low of 25. Snow is possible at higher elevations when rain chances move in this weekend.
Desert areas on Thursday will see a high of 74 degrees and a low of 43. Palm Springs is expected to reach 87 degrees.
