Yorba Linda theft suspect caught on camera stealing package

YORBA LINDA, Calif. (KABC) -- Orange County investigators are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who stole a package from a Yorba Linda home.

The theft occurred around 11 a.m. Thursday at a home on the 24600 block of Las Patranas.

Based on surveillance video, detectives say the suspect approached the front door and rang the doorbell. When no one answered, the suspect picked up the package, which contained a cellphone valued at about $600, and walked away from the home.

Investigators believe the suspect got into a vehicle and left the area.
