Arthritic disease in 21 percent of adults

A major new study reveals arthritic disease is the most common cause of disability in the U.S. and now affects 46 million Americans, or more than 21 percent of the adult population.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predict by 2030, 40 percent of American adults will suffer some form of arthritic disease, which equates to about 67 million Americans.

Experts say besides aging, weight and inactivity play a big role in your risk of getting osteoarthritis.
