New vaccine reduces shots for kids

It's the Pentacel Combination vaccine made by Sanofi Pasteur.

The company says Pentacel can reduce the number of shots needed for vaccination by one-third, from 23 shots to 16 shots.

It's given as a four-dose series, starting at two months and finishing at 18 months, and it protects against diphtheria, polio, Tetanus, whooping cough and influenza type B.
