Meditating and practicing relaxation techniques are good for your state of mind. However, a new study shows reducing stress might actually alter your genes.Researchers compared the genes of 19 people who regularly practiced relaxation techniques, such as yoga, and compared them with the genes of people who didn't practice any techniques at all. Those not practicing any relaxation techniques went through a training program, teaching them to reduce stress.
From this study, scientists discovered mediation seemed to help cells battle inflammation and damage to DNA.
