Mother of murdered teen speaks out

ARTESIA, Calif. "I just know that somebody stole my son from me. He was 17 years old, and I'll never seen him again," said Mary Ann Nevil, the victim's mother.

Jonathan Muse was murdered around midnight Wednesday on Pioneer Boulevard under the 91 Freeway.

Detectives have no suspects and no motive.

Friends and family fear he may have been targeted by gang members even though they say he wasn't in a gang.

Muse has two brother serving in Iraq.

"I have two sons fighting for the freedom of this country, while their brother was murdered right here," she said.
