L.A. students test popsicle architecture

SOUTH GATE, Calif. It was all part of a unique bridge building contest -- bridges made entirely of popsicle sticks.

And glue was prohibited.

Four teams from the Architecture and Engineering Academy took part in the competition.

The winners created a bridge that was called "The Whopper."

And the winning team has now qualified to take part in the upcoming popsicle-stick regional finals.

But the students say they'll cross that "bridge" when they come to it. They just want to savor Tuesday's victory.
