Prominent lawyer busted for leaving kids

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Madlyn Primoff, a partner at Kaye Scholer, a New York City law firm, pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of endangering a child and was released on minimal bail.

Police say on Sunday, Primoff was so angry over her daughters' arguing, she ordered her 10- and 12-year-old daughters out of her car in White Plains, three miles from their home, and left.

White Plains Police say the 12-year-old caught up with the mother and was allowed back in the car. But the 10-year-old wandered away and was found by a Good Samaritan crying and upset about being alone. Police were called.

The girl gave police her mother's name and home address in upscale Scarsdale.

Sometime later, Primoff called Scarsdale Police saying her 10-year-old daughter was missing. Primoff was arrested when she arrived at White Plains police headquarters to pick up the child.

On Wednesday, a judge modified a temporary order of protection that barred the 45-year-old mother from living with and talking with her children.
