SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. --
A section of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks was shut down Monday morning after a report of suspicious activity inside a Bank of America. Police got a call just before 8 a.m. from the manager at the branch at Ventura and Cedros.
The bank manager said he thought he'd heard noises coming from inside the vault.
Officers shut down Ventura between Cedros and Willis Street while they investigated whether a robbery was in progress or had already taken place.
A man was seen briefly detained, but police cleared him and let him go.
