LOS ANGELES --A scandal may be brewing at city hall. Tuesday night, the General Manager of the Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety, Andrew Adelman, has been placed on administrative leave. According to court documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times, detectives are investigating allegations by a woman, who says Adelman raped her last month at his downtown condominium.
Eyewitness News contacted the LAPD and they confirmed that a city employee was being investigated for an alleged sexual assault.
Adelman has neither been arrested nor charged with a crime.
