Police hunt for pepper-spray robbery suspect

LOS ANGELES Surveillance photos captured the suspect in a building in the 3600 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Police say he went into the lobby on Dec. 29, sprayed his intended victim in the face with pepper spray and tried to steal the victim's laptop computer.

He was unsuccessful, and he ran away.

About half an hour later, the same suspect pepper sprayed another victim outside a coffee shop in the 3800 block of Wilshire. This time, he managed to grab the laptop computer and get away.

The suspect is described as a white man with brown eyes and brown hair. He's between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds.

At the time of the robbery he had a tattoo of a star on one of his legs and a star shaved into the right side of his head.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the LAPD at 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
