The off-duty officer and a good Samaritan caught him and held him for authorities. The man faces DUI charges, among other charges.
The officer and his wife were sent to the hospital to be checked out.
Man crashes truck into off-duty officer's car
ANAHEIM, Calif. Accident investigators say the truck hit the car traveling more than 100 mph near Weir Canyon. The truck flipped, but the driver was able to get out, trying to escape by running across the lanes of the 91 Freeway.
