Prowler caught sleeping on family's couch

WEST HILLS, Calif. Jerry Watson says his dog was acting strange and then he heard a noise coming from the living room. When he walked into the room he found a man who he had never seen before sleeping on his couch.

"I got a shotgun out from under the bed and called the police to let them come take care of it. I just wanted to make sure he didn't try to get up and run out. He never woke up," said Watson.

Police officers managed to wake the man up, and get him into their squad car.

Watson said he's usually very careful about locking his doors and windows, but thinks one might have been left open overnight, giving the prowler a way to get inside.
