Sewage spill forces O.C. beach closure

DANA POINT, Calif. The coastline between Dana Point and San Clemente could be closed into the weekend. Officials say a 24 inch sewage line ruptured and sent 350,000 gallons of sewage into Tijeras Creek.

The creek empties into the ocean at Doheny State Beach. Three miles of coastline show a high bacteria count.

Health officials ordered three beaches, Doheny State Beach, Capistrano County Beach, and Capistrano Bay Community Beach closed until the bacteria dissipates.
