June 22, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
An American Airlines flight attendant helped deliver a baby boy just minutes before landing in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.A passenger went into labor on June 11. The flight was from Haiti.

Still more than 30 minutes away from the airport, flight attendant Patricia Sund says she was trained to handle the situation and luckily there were two doctors on board.

"One said, 'I'm a doctor.' OK, cross that off the list, don't have to ask for that, and I was going up to verify that her water had broken and when I came back, another doctor said, 'I'm a surgeon. Can I help you?' I said come on back," described Sund. "The doctor said, 'He's good. It's a boy. Here, take him,' and he turned and gave him to me and I was like 'Hello, hello.'"

Mom and baby are doing just fine.
