The LAPD said Thursday that an unknown number of suspects burst into the store and opened fire. One man was killed. A second man was critically wounded and rushed to a hospital.
Police were searching the area, but no suspects had been arrested Thursday night. It was not clear how the suspects fled the scene.
Police did not immediately release further details.
Los Angeles Police were investigating the incident. They were trying to determine if there was surveillance video of the area available.
Hours later, at 9:03 p.m., an employee of the Hollywood Holistic Medical Marijuana Dispensary on El Centro Ave. was fatally shot.
It was not clear if the two incidents were related.
