A 3-year-old girl from Northern California is being credited with saving her father's life. Alesaundra Tafoya took action when her father accidentally mixed up his medications and collapsed.

She walked two blocks to the local fire station in Manteca. Alesaundra told firefighters that her dad was "frozen" and wouldn't wake up.

They say she was very calm and focused.

"She walked us down to her house, and her dad was sitting in the living room needing medical care," said Manteca Fire Department Capt. Robert Villalovoz.

Doctors say without that care, her father would have died.

The family says Alesaundra knew where to go, because they passed the fire station every day, pointing it out as a safe place, where firefighters are her friends.
