Subway to the Sea meetings begin for planning

LOS ANGELES The meetings are scheduled to decide next month on the routing and station placement.

There are concerns over how homes and businesses will be protected as the Westside subway tunnel is being built. Monday night's public hearing will focus on the environmental impact report.

The projected cost of the subway extension ranges from about $4 billion to $9 billion.
