Palm Springs gets ready for homecoming bash

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. The parade will begin Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. on Palm Canyon Drive between Baristo and Alejo roads.

The parade will feature the Palm Springs High School Indians' football team, the 2009 CIF champions, as well as the school's marching band and other clubs. Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet will serve as grand marshal.

The Indians will take on the Indio High School Rajahs on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Palm Springs High School Stadium.
