'Survivor' star due in court for tax charge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Hatch is expected to appear in a Providence, Rhode Island court Wednesday.

The reality TV star was convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the first season of "Survivor."

He served three years in jail and is currently serving three years of probation, which began last year when he was released from prison.

Under the terms of his probation, he is required to find work, complete a mental health program, re-file his 2000 and 2001 tax returns and pay all back taxes.

Federal authorities did not reveal which of the terms Hatch is accused of violating.
