LARGO, Md. --A huge water main break just outside of Washington, D.C., caused a nightmare of a morning commute on Monday.Several feet of water spilled onto the busy capital beltway in Largo, Maryland. The break was caused by a car accident.
One person had to be rescued from their vehicle.
Southbound lanes of the inner loop of the capital beltway were closed, backing up traffic for miles. To make matters worse, water was freezing on the road because of the cold weather.
