Study: Prozac may aid in stroke recovery

LOS ANGELES Weakness and paralysis on one side of the body are the most common disabilities for stroke patients.

In the study, researchers found that Prozac helped movement function and motor skills and sped recovery for stroke patients.

Doctors also found less depression among stroke patients who took Prozac as part of their recovery.

The study is the largest of its kind so far to look at antidepressants and stroke.
