4 wounded in Hollywood 'party bus' shooting

HOLLYWOOD

It was early Sunday morning when a fight broke out in a party bus. Shots were fired but it was not clear whether inside or outside the bus. According to the Los Angeles Police Dept., four people were shot and the suspect got away.

According to the LAPD Hollywood Division, there's been a rise in party buses coming to Hollywood from the San Fernando Valley, south Los Angeles and the South Bay. Some, according to the LAPD, bring a gang element into the area that sometimes causes trouble.

Harry Sargsyan owns and operates Los Angeles Limousine. He says it's hard to predict which clients are going to cause problems.

"They can have fun, but if they get out of control, the run is terminated," said Sargsyan . "No money is going to be refundable."

Sargsyan says if one of your guests happens to get out of hand, the party is simply over. And depending on how bad things get inside a party bus, guests could end up spending the night in jail.

"We are concerned that people have a good time, and then get in a car and then share the road with us, and we won't make it to our destination, nor will they," said California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang.

Tang says law enforcement isn't out to ruin your party. He says party buses do not give you a license to be drunk and disorderly.

Tang says that even with party buses, you need designated drivers to make sure everyone gets home safely after the bus drops them off at the end of the night.
