Officials said they're not ruling out the possibily of foul play as the investigation continues.
Hospital officials at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center alerted police that they were treating a woman who was shot in the head. The woman's boyfriend drove her to the hospital at approximately 4 a.m. in his pickup truck.
Police said the boyfriend is not a suspect in the case and is cooperating fully with investigators. However, detectives were combing his vehicle for evidence.
The shooting apparently happened at a home on Edison Boulevard. The woman was pronounced dead shortly after she arrived at the emergency room. Her name was being withheld pending notification of family.
