Attorneys say de la Huerta got into an altercation with Samantha Swetra, who appeared on the MTV reality series, "The City." De la Huerta allegedly punched Swetra in the face and threw a glass that cut Swetra's leg after calling her a "fake actress" at a posh New York City hotel bar March 20.
De la Huerta's lawyer said the "Boardwalk Empire" actress is "asking people not to rush to judgment."
Prosecutors say de la Huerta told police she herself was "a real actress," but Swetra was a fake and "a publicity seeker."
De la Huerta plays main character Nucky Thompson's former girlfriend, Lucy Danziger, on the HBO series.
