The Department of Homeland Security is concerned about the official home of the mayor of Los Angeles.

The city maintains the Getty House in Hancock Park. According to the Los Angeles Times, city officials are moving ahead with a plan to raise a high fence around the home.

Neighborhood residents do not like the idea. The plan calls for a 6-foot fence on two sides of the house.

The Los Angeles Police Department proposed the idea after a study found that the home could be breached.

The proposed fence is taller than a local zoning ordinance would normally allow.
