Actor Tom Sizemore arrested on outstanding battery warrant

LOS ANGELES

The 49-year-old actor was arrested around 1:15 a.m. while LAPD officers were doing a follow-up investigation on a parolee at an apartment on the 1000 block of Wilshire Boulevard, according to authorities.

They came upon Sizemore, who has an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor battery. He was arrested and released on $26,000 bail around 7:30 a.m.

According to court records, the bench warrant was issued after Sizemore failed to appear at a court hearing last month.

The actor has had several drug charges and probation violations in recent years. He pleaded no contest in 2006 to a methamphetamine charge and was sentenced to 16 months in prison. And in 2003, he was convicted of domestic violence involving his ex-girlfriend, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

Sizemore is known for the movies "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down." He has also been on the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab."
