Newport Beach Bank of America branch robbed

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.

At about 9:30 a.m., a white male about 25-30 years old entered the B of A branch at 3300 East Coast Highway. The suspect approached a teller with a note demanding the contents of the teller's money drawer.

The suspect then left the bank through the rear doors with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as standing 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a "DC" logo on the front. He was wearing dark pants and dark sunglasses.
