Carjacking suspects arrested hiding on apartment complex roof

OXNARD, Calif.

Oxnard police officers were called to a possible armed robbery at 2:10 a.m.

An Oxnard woman reported two men approached her in the west alley of 1135 North G Street and attempted to force entry into her vehicle. It was believed one of the suspects carried a handgun. The woman fled the area before the suspects gained entry.

Responding officers saw two men matching the suspects' description running into an apartment complex nearby. The men were located on the roof of the complex, located at 1043 North G Street, and taken into custody.

Victor Vaca, 19, and Isai Reyes, 19, were arrested. The victim and witnesses positively identified the suspects, police said.
