A young falcon that was trapped at the top of a 70-foot tree for two days in Hemet was rescued Friday.

Project Wildlife volunteers were able to reach the bird and rescue it.

The falcon, apparently used as a game bird, had tethers on its legs that got snagged on the tree.

For days, it flailed, trapped in the branches.

The bird is now recovering at an animal rescue and rehabilitation center in Temecula.
