Lincoln Heights shooting: Undercover cops fired upon

The Los Angeles Police Department went on tactical alert Friday night after two plainclothes officers were fired upon in Lincoln Heights.

The Los Angeles Police Department went on tactical alert Friday night after two plainclothes officers were fired upon in Lincoln Heights.

Two undercover narcotics officers were shot at by two suspects who fled on foot at about 6:20 p.m. on the 3500 block of N. Mission Road.

Neither officer fired a gun, according to the LAPD. The officers were not injured.

Police units surrounded the area and set up a perimeter to search for two suspects. One suspect was apprhended by 8:20 p.m. as the search continued for the second.
