Good Samaritan saves man hit by car in Placentia

PLACENTIA, Calif.

The incident happened on Melrose and La Jolla streets late Saturday night. The Good Samaritan, identified as Alec Ralph, was driving by when he saw the man stumble into the street and get hit by a car.

"I panicked, threw my car into park, threw on the hazards told my girlfriend to call 911, and ran over to make sure he was still alive, and screaming for the neighbors to come out and help," said Ralph.

Ralph says the man was unconscious, and would have gotten hit by oncoming traffic had witnesses not stepped in.

The man was rushed to the hospital. The driver is not expected to face any charges.
