Nazi materials found in wake of Houston lawyer shooting rampage
HOUSTON -- Nazi materials were found inside a car near the scene where a disgruntled lawyer allegedly opened fire at a southwest Houston strip mall Monday morning, injuring nine people before he was shot and killed by police.
Many questions remain after a violent shooting at the Randalls supermarket center on Weslayan at Bissonnet.
A bomb squad cleared a vehicle near the scene. The Porsche in question is registered to Nathan DeSai.
Police would not identify DeSai as the shooter, but said they found two guns and items with Nazi emblems in his vehicle, ABC News learned. They also found Nazi materials in his apartment.
Nearly 100 pieces of evidence were collected as of Monday afternoon, including 2,600 rounds of live ammo, a .45 semi-automatic handgun and a .45 Tommy Gun.
Authorities got into a dramatic shootout with the gunman to end the rampage. Authorities confirmed the suspect died from his injuries.
The Houston Fire Department said people were taken to area hospitals after they were injured by the shooter. Three were treated at the scene and released.
One victim was in critical condition with a gunshot wound, according to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Another was in fair condition and three were in good condition.

A shelter-in-place was ordered shortly before the Houston Police Department confirmed the alleged shooter was shot by one of its officers.
DeSai is a Houston lawyer and his father said his son was angry due to his law firm folding six months ago.

At around 6:30 a.m., fire department scanners reported a suspect was at a strip center firing upon vehicles.
"We received a call at 6:29 that we had a shooting at the Petco store...the first units were directed to the parking lot where the shooting was still active," the fire department's Jay Evans said.

Emergency vehicles flooded the area around the strip center bordered by Weslayan, Bissonnet and Law Street.
Antoine Wilson witnessed the shooting and told Eyewitness News he was shaken up after being caught in the crossfire.

"I literally heard the gunshots past my face," Wilson says. "It's a hard pill to swallow."
Wilson said there was a steady shooting back and forth as officers worked to bring the active shooting situation to a close.
Police concentrated much of their focus during the shooting on an apartment complex on nearby Law Street, located behind the strip center.
Fire officials reported on radio that the suspect was seen behind some trees as he opened fire on vehicles in the area.
A KTRK crew saw firefighters and officers running up and down the street as the gunfire continued.
From the air, reporter Don Armstrong reported seeing bodies on the ground as officers ran between cars and buildings in search for the suspect.
