LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Almost 3,300 customers in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood were without power Tuesday night because of strong winds in the area.

Southern California Edison notified repair crews to respond to the outages in both areas. In Beverly Hills, 2,886 residents were affected by the outage and 389 people were affected in West Hollywood.

By 10:45 p.m., only 125 customers remained without power in Beverly Hills after crews removed trees that were tangled in power equipment.

About 691 customers north of Sunset Boulevard and west of Coldwater Canyon were also without power.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power sent repair crews out to the area to restore the power.
