Mediterranean food with a Texas twist
WORKING SIDE BY SIDE: Mother and son run popular Mediterranean spot

HOUSTON, Texas -- Lebanon may be more than 7,000 miles away, but the Nasr family is brining traditional Mediterranean eats to Houston.

Chef Rafael Nasr and his mother, Claudia, founded Craft Pita in 2019. The family believes in sharing culture through food.

"We created the Craft Pita menu inspired on our family in Lebanon with some creative ideas inspired by our Texas culture," Claudia said.

Items on the menu include pita sandwiches, falafel, baba ghanoush, but their most popular dish is spicy hummus.

"Lebanese food is not known for being spicy but we are here in Houston, Texas and everyone likes a little kick" said Rafael.

Craft Pita just opened its second location at 5172 Buffalo Speedway.
