A robbery victim in L.A.'s West Adams area chased the suspects and rammed into their car, which slammed into a pole. One suspect was killed in the crash, LAPD said.

WEST ADAMS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man who was robbed decided to chase down the suspects and intentionally ram into their car, which ended up crashing in West Adams. One of the suspects died at the scene, officials said.

It all started around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, when three men robbed a 21-year-old man near West Adams Boulevard and West View Street.

The robbery victim decided to chase the suspects and intentionally rammed into their car, which lost control and slammed into a pole, said LAPD. One of the suspects, the 32-year-old driver of that vehicle, died at the scene.

The two other suspected thieves fled on foot while firing at the robbery victim, according to LAPD. He was not hit.

The 21-year-old remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

No arrests were made, and no further details were immediately available.
