Man in his 80s, woman in her 70s found dead in suspected murder-suicide at Irvine hotel, police say

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are investigating the deaths of two people at an Irvine hotel as a possible murder-suicide, investigators said.

According to the Irvine Police Department, officers responded to the Marriott hotel in the 7900 block of Irvine Center Drive after receiving a "medical aid" call.

A man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s were found dead inside a room, though further details have not been released. They were reportedly supposed to check out of the hotel Thursday.

Police told Eyewitness News it appears the victims are related, but detectives are still working to determine their relationship.
