WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Suspects stole an estimated $300,000 worth of property -- including jewelry, cash and a safe -- during an overnight burglary at a home in Woodland Hills Friday night, authorities said.
Surveillance video shows two suspects gain entry by shattering a window on the side of home in the 22500 block of Dolorosa Street at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said. A getaway driver was believed to be waiting in a waiting vehicle.
"There have been a string of incidents going on here. Several of our neighbors have had their property stolen. I think they're getting really bold. I think that they're feeling like they can continue to do that here and not face any consequences," said Brandyn Barillas, a Woodland Hills resident.
No one was home at the time of the break-in, according to the LAPD.
The homeowner said he was in San Diego with his family and watched the crime unfold live on his surveillance cameras.
The suspects fled the scene and remained at large. Descriptions of the intruders were not available.
Roy, who lives right across the street from the latest target, said this is not the first time the neighborhood is targeted.
"They did the same thing that they did to us about a year ago. They picked up the safe and came in with a getaway car and ran away," said Roy.
Surveillance video showed the suspects breaking into Roy's home through a sliding glass door and hauling away a safe, similar to the latest burglary.
Neighbors said they are frustrated by the continuing crime and demand more help from law enforcement.
"It's sad that we can't seem to get away from all the crime happening in the area lately. Malls being hit multiple times to us not being safe," said Woodland Hills resident Jeff Feinberg.
No arrests have been made in connection to the burglary.
