BEVERLY GROVE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three workers were injured, one of them seriously, in an explosion atop a billboard in Beverly Grove Tuesday morning.
Police said the workers were on the platform of the billboard at the intersection of West Third Street and South La Jolla Avenue when the explosion occurred.
One man was badly burned and taken to the hospital in serious condition. Another went to the hospital in fair condition. The other worker refused treatment.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
