NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Three men were hospitalized after being shot in a minivan outside a Northridge 7-Eleven early Friday morning, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of near Corbin Avenue and Parthenia Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victims were riding in the Honda when they became involved in an argument with the occupants of another vehicle, an LAPD spokesperson said.

The minivan stopped and its occupants heard gunfire, which shattered the van's rear window, investigators said.

Firefighter-paramedics transported the wounded to a medical center, where two were initially listed in critical condition and the other was in stable condition, police said. All three were later said to be in stable condition.

The two suspects, both men, fled the scene in a red Ford Mustang and remained at large. Detailed descriptions of the individuals being sought were not available.

The LAPD was investigating the incident as gang-related and possibly involving road rage, the spokesperson said.
