Discover hidden San Francisco on a free walking tour
"Fall in love with this city again." The Free SF Tour takes tourists and locals into hidden parts of the city for a safe, immersive, outdoor experience.

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you want to see it like you've never seen it before, take the Free SF Tour.

"This city has a lot of hidden gems that are hiding right around the corner," Founder and main tour guide of Free SF Tour Filip Todd Lazarevski explains. "There are a lot of staircases, hidden gardens, small alleys ways to be explored."

The tour walks through landmark locations like Union Square, Chinatown and the Financial District.

"You don't pay anything. You don't even make a reservation. You can just show up and meet with a tour guide," Lazarevski says. "If you like the tour, you can leave a tip or a donation at the end of it."

Due to COVID-19, the outdoor tour, which happens every day, rain or shine, is limited to 12 people. Masks are required and social distancing is in effect. Guests will walk through the alleys of Chinatown to local spots like the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory.

"This is the only place in the world where they still do the fortune cookies by hand," Lazarevski explains.

According to Lazarevski, the Free SF Tour is a great experience for locals as well.

"Even if you live over here, you are going to see stuff that you've never seen before. It will show you places where you haven't been. It's going to tell you stories that you haven't heard of."

"Makes you feel special," guest Yazmin Sol Sánchez adds. "Makes you feel like you found a secret."

"Fall in love with this city again and again all over," Lazarevski says with a smile.
