HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A lifeguard jumped off the Huntington Beach pier Sunday to save an alleged drunk swimmer who refused to get out of the water.

The rescue occurred around 3:15 p.m. Police say the man was trying to swim around the pier and was eventually arrested for public intoxication.
