APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect who was allegedly shooting a gun near a home in Apple Valley was killed after a deputy-involved shooting.

At 6:21 p.m., Victor Valley Sheriff's Station deputes were dispatched to a home in the 9000 block of Buena Vista Street in Apple Valley following 911 calls that someone was shooting a gun in the area.

Deputies responded to the area and a deputy-involved shooting occurred. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division Homicide Detail were requested to the location and conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
