2 wounded after border agent opens fire

February 1, 2008 12:00:00 AM PST
A shooting involving a Border patrol agent left two people wounded outside a Southern California casino on Friday.Authorities say the agent opened fire on a truck outside the Golden Acorn Casino in Campo, in Eastern San Diego County.

A sheriff's deputy says the driver of the truck appeared to step on the gas and drove toward the agent. The deputy says the agent opened fire, wounding the two people -- one seriously.

A section of Highway 80 had to be closed off for the investigation.
