He exited in Garden Grove and missed a turn, slamming into the hydrant and an apartment building.
The driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. Police have not said why they were trying to stop the man in the first place.

GARDEN GROVE The pursuit began around midnight when Orange police attempted to pull a driver over. Instead of yielding, the driver took off and got on the 22 Freeway.
