Marriage produces healthier men?

The findings were part of a nine-year study of about 500 men in their 50s.

When the research began, all the men had healthy blood sugar levels.

Nine years later, the glucose levels in single men rose as expected. High blood sugar puts people at higher risk for diabetes and heart disease marriage appears to mitigate this risk.

Scientists think wives either help reduce stress for their spouses or they help them eat better.
