VALENCIA The sheriff's department received the call around noon on Tuesday. They say that the body was spotted by three passersby.

The victim's upper body was slumped into the driver's seat of the car. The car door was wide open and his legs were on the ground. He had been stabbed multiple times.

Authorities have identified the man as 55-year-old Anthony Lombardi.

Air 7 HD was over the scene on Undine Road in Valencia. The victim's body was in the vehicle parked in his driveway.

Homicide detectives say that Lombardi suffered stab wounds to his chest. They have not found a weapon or a motive. They have not suspects at this time.

Anthony Lombardi lived alone. Family members and neighbors were outside the house Tuesday afternoon. They are distraught over his death.

Authorities say they will be searching the neighborhood for clues.

"We are not sure, there may be blood evidence in the street. There may be other evidence involved in it. We do know, but we have the street locked down so we can process it to see if there is evidence there," said Lt. David Coleman, L.A. County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.

"I am scared and shaken up. I have goosebumps. Nothing like that has ever, ever happened like this. I did not know him, just in passing -- like leaving, coming home out in the driveway. I didn't really know his name," said neighbor, Casey Mohr.
